Help for You

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
— Psalm 46:1

We celebrate and share the many joys of working in the care sector.  But we also acknowledge the challenges and it’s good to be honest about this.  It’s not always easy and life outside of work can also be hard at times.

Here at Christians in Care, we want this to be a safe place for you to share in the highs and lows of care work.  We do this through…

WhatsApp Groups

We have a welcoming and supportive WhatsApp group which is a growing community for individuals working in the care sector. It is a space to share challenges openly with others and offer words of encouragement in the group too.

You can join by registering with us using the registration button and you will be sent further details.

For those working in positions of leadership (such as care home managers and trustees) and for those keen to partner with Christians in Care in prayer, there is a separate WhatsApp group we’d love you to join. Details are available once you register with us.

Zoom Meetings

We have monthly Zoom calls where we create a safe space for mutual encouragement and prayer and a chance to connect in a virtual way with Christians working in care across the UK.  We sometimes have guest speakers and a focus for our meetings.  We would love you to join us and a very warm welcome awaits you.  Please register with us to receive the Zoom link. Frontline Carers meeting:

The first Tuesday of the month at 9.30am or 8pm

Trustees, Leaders, & Supporters meeting:

The fourth Tuesday of the month at 2pm

Regional In Person Meetups

There’s nothing quite like meeting up in person!  So from time to time we have informal regional meet ups where carers catch up over a cuppa, pray and spur one another on.   Details of meet ups are shared in the WhatsApp group and newsletter.  If you’d like to start a meet up near you, we’d be delighted to connect you with others and support this.

Prayer Requests

It would be a privilege to draw alongside you in prayer. We can trust and believe in God for all our needs and concerns in every circumstance, for His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).

You can contact us by filling out the Prayer Request form below.

Wellbeing

Perhaps you’re also looking for further support for your wellbeing and mental health.  Looking after our mental wellbeing is vitally important and we are thankful for the many available options of support out there.

Here are a just few websites which may be of help:

Do you need someone to pray with and for you? You can contact the UCB Prayerline by phone during opening hours with a team of trained and dedicated volunteers. They also have a prayer request form which you can fill out at any time.

The Care Workers’ Charity mission is to advance the financial, professional and mental wellbeing of social care workers by making grants, signposting to resources and providing access to services. We all have mental health. We all go through periods of withering and thriving. We all need support.
